Many hands make light work

I'm thinking I might get into volunteering. I definitely want to get checked out on the CERT stuff, but that's the sort of volunteering you hope you don't have to do once you're trained for it.

The part of me that had me checking out the National Guard recruitment site thinks Red Cross Disaster Response Team would be the way to go. The part of me with a perhaps more realistic assessment of my strengths and weaknesses is looking at community training - educating as many people as possible on what to do in case of emergency.
