'Memoirs' movie?

They've apparently made 'Memoirs of a Geisha' into a movie.

My sister read it and lent it to me; when I finished it, she asked, "Wasn't the ending just the worst?" I had to agree.

With Narnia and King Kong and Pride & Prejudice (and heck, Harry Potter which I still haven't seen) all out, I think I'll be taking a pass on this one.

My print-on-demand copies of "Hucbald, Guido and John: three treatises on medieval music" and "The Anglo-Saxon scop" have shipped! Just in time for the Early Music Theory class I'm teaching in December!

I've done a lot of reading (although I still need to get ahold of some of the Big Names like Christopher Page and Tim McGee) and it's high time I started organizing it into something more useful than, "I think I read somewhere that..." Booklets, maybe, or a Complete Anachronist pamphlet for the SCA.
