Jolly good, eh?
Jan. 18th, 2007 12:59 pmSo, I'm in London. Annoyed, because this hotel terminal screwed up my attempt to snag the best seats on the flight home, and now we're stuck with whatever BA defaulted us to. At least they appear to be an aisle and a window instead of a 3-across. Also, I did something to my ankle which means today is being spent in the hotel reading, because walking is just not a part of the equation.
Aside from today, the vacation has been wonderful. We've seen many of the major sights - Westminster Abbey, British Museum, St. Paul's, the Globe, the Tower. We had a bus tour of Windsor Castle (shoulda seen the look on Liz II's face when the bus came through the tea room), Stonehenge, and Bath. An attempt to get last-minute tickets to a top-rated comedic opera was foiled, but we did score excellent seats at the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of "Antony and Cleopatra," starring Patrick Stewart! It was a great show and we had a great time.
...aaand that's the 30 sec warning on the terminal. Home tomorrow afternoon!
