(I might have felt differently if a horde of 18+ adults were taking all the candy meant for the 13- crowd, but we had about a dozen trick-or-treaters all night.)
1 - As of last year, I started buying raisins to give to the beggars who couldn't be bothered to dress up. I also ask, "Can I help you?" to the ones who stand and mutely thrust out their loot bags without the obligatory "Trick or treat!" (unless they are obviously shyness-paralyzed tots).
