Calling Foodie Friends!
Jan. 3rd, 2008 06:54 pmBecause it was on sale for half off, I bought a standing rib roast. So it's only $25 of meat instead of $50. I boggle!
I have never cooked such a thing before, and am dreadfully worried about spoiling $50 worth of beef. I found a webpage with some directions on what to do, and I was wondering if anyone else had any input.
And/or ideas for sides? Keeping in mind that (durrr...) this is for tomorrow night, when my in-laws are visiting? I could hit up a grocery store on the way home, but won't have time for lengthy or exotic preparations (well... I have up to the roasting time, I guess, but nothing that sets overnight or anything).
