Research and Documentation class
I'll be teaching a class on researching and documenting music at Highland River Melees, June 14. I'm still trying to figure out its structure, but I foresee:
1) The research process, in brief (goal-setting, information gathering, creation, performance, feedback)
2) Special issues for researching music (or other performance)
2a) For performing existing period work
2b) For composition of original work
3) Structuring documentation (summary/abstract/introduction, background, methods, result, conclusions, future work)
