Bird of the Day

We have some bald eagles nesting at work. I've seen them fly overhead once or twice.

Today, I saw one swoop up to the end of our pier. It was eating a fish. When some small birds annoyed it too much, it took off - and flew straight past where I was standing. I got an awesome look at that iconic profile.

(Previously, my experience has been more, "That's a really big brown bird. White head and tail? I bet it's a bald eagle!")
