Get up on-time but feeling like I've slept in because of the clocks being set back? Check.

Lunch packed and out the door on-time? Check.

Car already gassed up, ready to go? Check.

Late anyway after being stuck in traffic on DC-295 because someone broke down in the exit lane to East Capital Street? Goddamn check.

48 Hours to Go

In two days, I will wake up and find out who the next president of my country is going to be.

The. Election. Will. Be. OVER. I am more excited about that than the actual outcome. If I could, I would take Election '08 behind the house and beat it with a stick. It came too early, it ate everything in the fridge and drank all the beer, and it hung around the house expecting us to entertain it. I cannot wait to boot its ass, its controversies real and invented, its sound bites, rallying cries and talking heads, and especially its "zomg the polls!" drama, to the curb.

Also, in 48 hours it will be my wedding anniversary.

I think we should celebrate both.
