Little legacies
Aug. 12th, 2009 01:31 pmI am enjoying a cup of Stash Tea's "Licorice Spice" herbal tea. I was introduced to it my freshman year of college:
The staff of the Friendly Local Gaming Convention always went to a Chinese restaurant afterwards. I was dating one of the organizers - my first serious, long-term boyfriend - and was invited along. At the restaurant, one of the more maniacal game masters requested plain hot water for his tea, bring out his own teabags. Eyes gleamed all around the table as they realized I had never tried Mr. K's tea.
Much to their surprise (and I think disappointment), I loved it. It was a few years before I recalled the brand and looked it up, to buy some of my own, and it's been a quasi-regular in my life ever since.
