If you must spill cold coffee all over yourself, it is better to have done so after your big grant presentation rather than before.

It is probably also better to have spilled cold coffee on oneself, instead of hot coffee. ;-P

I don't know. There seems to be a good payoff in spilling hot coffee on yourself.
