Stupid Alumna Tricks
Maxim magazine has named the Fat Darrell its best sandwich.
WTF? you say.
At Rutgers University, a section of one parking lot is taken over by the Grease Trucks - ostensibly mobile sandwich carts. For many years, the Fat Cat - a sub roll with two cheeseburger patties, lettuce-tomato-onion, an assortment of sauces, and french fries (on the sub roll, yes) was a Rutgers "whoa-I'm-so-drunk-and-hungry" tradition.
In 1997ish - about two years before I graduated - there was this sudden trend of customers ordering new weird sandwich combinations and getting them named after themselves. The Fat Darrell is one such, consisting of chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and french fries.
