There's a popular dance in the SCA called the "Bransle Royale" (The first word is pronounced 'Brawl' for reasons which would undoubtedly be more clear to me if I spoke French). I called a Customer Service line today and lo, their hold music was this very song! How unusual!
...until I remember that the tune for "Bransle Royale" is also known as "Ding Dong Merrily on High," a legitimate (if not very common) Christmas carol, and it's December 1.
