On a lighter note
Dec. 22nd, 2004 01:54 pmEmpty coffee cans. Empty wrapping paper tubes. Matchboxes - oh boy, empty matchboxes!
Some stuff... it's always like I'm five. An empty coffee can has a world of possibility! If you have some feathers, it can be an Indian (ahem, Native American) tom-tom. If you're feeling utilitarian, you put mixed-up crayons in it, or small plastic toys. You can decorate for a flower pot or vase. You can punch a pattern into it and put a candle inside. (For ages 8 and up, anyway.) I seem to recall something about a coffee can, a flashlight, and different constellations punched into black-painted plastic coffee can lids for an portable astronomy lesson.
Alas that I do not need a tom-tom, a vase, or a portable, low-grade star projector.
But if I did... !
