"I am a genius!"

The CT scan this morning was unpleasant but not horrible. Barium banana-flavored cocktail, barium IV drip, more banana-crap, mild nausea... ick. But the tech was nice, they even had blankets on hand for if you were cold, and I didn't actually *get* sick. Could have been worse.

The tech thought the scans looked good, so that's a bonus. An official radiologist-type person will have a report sent to my PCP by tonight, and I should get the official results soon.

Now, I couldn't eat or drink from midnight last night til 9am, when I got the cocktail; then it was a hour and fifteen before the CT scan; and the scan itself wasn't over until 11:45. So I was feeling pretty worn out after the whole procedure, because of the reasons above and low blood sugar.

I believe that I literally said, out loud, "I am a genius!" when I saw the three homeade Italian pizzelle cookies I had the foresight to put in a baggie and leave on the front seat of the car. I had totally forgotten about them, and they had me feeling better right away. Yay cookies!
