Let's just call it a sick day
Jun. 26th, 2006 10:39 am6:00am: Depart house
6:20am: Hit heavy traffic
6:40am: Learn from radio that highway to work is closed due to flooding.
7:20am: Get off highway to get gas. Unable to return to highway due to immense traffic on side-road.
7:40am: Begin Washington, DC backroads odessey.
8:10am: Find alternate road that goes to work. End up going the wrong way. Get turned around. Ignore traffic cones.
8:30am: Discover reason for traffic cones - off-ramp to work is flooded. Screw this.
9:00am: Make it to the Beltway
10:10am: Home
Four hours, sixty miles. Oy vey.
