How about that!
Feb. 16th, 2005 09:23 amWhen you run and play in adventure games, you start to see certain things as a bit... cliched. Or maybe 'overly neat' is better. Like how it is that a sandstorm will always uncover the ancient ruins just as the player characters are getting on the scene. And there is always something sinister about these ruins, some reason they were better left under the sands. There wouldn't be an adventure otherwise, would there?
So when the tsunami uncovers ancient ruins in India, you just have to stop for a moment and tell yourself that of course there is no gateway to hell/ancient evil/Thing Man Was Not Meant To Know inside the stone house, and that the granite statues are similarly not concealing anything.
