Stimpy, you eeediot!

The ants came back to the office yesterday. So I very conscientiously cleaned up my desk, making sure to get any crumbs or droplets of food and drink that might attract them.

And then I left an open dirty Tupperware I used to transport some turkey in on my desk overnight.

Little bastards had a conga line going across the entire desk - up the back, past the computer, to the Tupperware. I promptly removed it and tried wiping things down again, to erase the scent trails they leave. It's only partially worked.

Oh, lovely. They seem to be congregating on my rosemary plant now. There shouldn't be anything for them to eat there, should there? Potting soil and an evergreen shrub...

Time for another wipe-down. :/

-- from an AP report about a mother duck nesting outside of the Treasury Building. Since the Secret Service guards the Treasury, they're also guarding the duck and her eggs.

For some reason, "Duck Cheney" really amuses me, even if it's a pun on a man's name for a female duck.

I've pretty much got the house to myself tonight! Whatever mischief shall I get up to?

It vaguely disturbs me that the leading contender is "Take over the craft table with fabric cutting and make that undertunic!"

Ooo! I could play neo-medieval music really loudly while I do it! That'd be, y'know, a little... um...

I'm so lame. :D
