Did you know that there is such a thing as the Maryland Faerie Festival?
Neither did I. I saw an ad in the local paper and said, "Oh, I gotta see this website."
Long story short: the headline entertainers for this were Clam Chowder, a folk group Moe really likes. So we went. The day was gorgeous, there were some nice vendors, and the music was good. (The music would have been great if the sound system had been better - they spent the first 30-60 seconds of each piece equalizing the vocals with the instruments. Ay.) Also, there were llamas.
As a Scadian, a sometime RenFestie, and general fantasy costuming fan, I've got no room to say anything about people who like to wear glittery wings. And the ones under 10 years old were generally really cute. I didn't really get into the whole "faerie" vibe of the thing, but a good time was still had by both.
