Re: Filling the cup with syrup

To whom it may concern:

If you absolutely must fill your Fruit Cup with liquid to prevent the dehydration of the fruit within, could you perhaps use pear juice rather than light syrup? I would not feel bad about about taking a few sips of pear juice to bring the level down as I peeled off the cellophane top, but I am unwilling to drink sugar-syrup straight, even if you have given it a lovely artifical cherry flavor.

Have you tried to peel the top off of one of your full Fruit Cups? If there is some Secret Dole Ninja Pop-Top technique that allows one to perform this feat without spilling cherry-flavored syrup all over one's desk, chair, and pants, I would recommend that you print it on the cardboard packaging used for your 4-packs.

My most-read contribution to the online world (probably not counting anything hosted on Moetica) is my LOTR spoof. The most-commented on is The Combat Page, which a lot of people really seem to like.

Today, Gamer Food! got its first comment.

This pleases me inordinately well, because I always thought that Gamer Food! was one of the most useful things I'd written and posted. I don't expect anyone to ever use my world-setting stuff, because GMs (especially fantasy GMs) will either use the professional worlds or invent their own. I don't expect anyone outside of my online games to really care to read their archives. But Gamer Food! was written to be useful, to address a problem that more than one gaming group has had, and to do it in a way that would not intimidate a guy who owns one frying pan, one pot, and a sharp knife.

And it's useful to at least one person! Huzzah!
