teleribI understand that they're taking liberties with the original poem in the upcoming Beowulf movie. Fine. While I don't fully understand the thinking behind dressing Beowulf in a sleeveless chainmail shirt1, I give them props for putting a wolf on his leather breastplate - nice touch. There are monsters and witches and dragons, as in the original (more or less), so we're clearly in a fantasy. Okay.
Why does Grendel's mother have feet shaped like stiletto heels?
1 - Actually, I assume it's the same thinking that gave us a bunch of CGI-enhanced Spartans in leather harnesses.
