Be careful what you wish for

The doctor hadn't gotten the full CT report, so I got no more details on "abnormal." But the receptionist was smoking crack - the doc does not want to schedule another CT scan, but go straight to biopsy.

Yay big needle. :-p But it will settle the question definitively.

So, I meet the gastroenterologist in early January; I don't know if this is an office procedure and I'll have it done that day, or if I'll have to go to a hospital at a later date. Maybe the Internet can shed some light.

Aaand I have an appointment in late January with a gynecological ontologist, to discuss prevention and detection stuff. He's good - he was director of the Gyn-Oncology ward at Johns Hopkins for 15 years and now works at Mercy Hospital, where he's been on the cover of the Washingtonian (or something) as one of the region's 100 Best doctors. Prevention is one of his research specialties. So, that should be a good visit.

Wow. That took me an unusually long time to 'get'... probably because the dirty pun possibilities leapt out before the mythological connotations. :-)
