Return to the public library!
Aug. 16th, 2005 08:32 amFor ten years now, I have forsaken the humble municipal library. The mighty University Library has instead met my admittedly baroque research needs. Whether I required Bryson and Ho's seminal text on optimal controls for work, or an English translation of three medieval musical treatises for leisure, my University Library was there for me.
But "The Most Beautiful Villages of Tuscany"? Well, that's not the sort of thing a University Library has, is it? Fluffy travel guides and modern genre fiction and all the rest are not part of that great pile of scholarship.
The county library system, however, has three copies...
